Commodity speculation and trade uncertainty affecting the value of the Canadian dollar have made coffee prices very volatile.
In 12 months the cost of coffee has increased by 115%. Since January 1, when we updated our base price, coffee costs have risen by 28%.
Our base price remains the same, however we are adding a floating cost recovery sum that’ll be updated weekly to recover costs changes since January 1.
We don’t know how long we will need to use this pricing model, but we will move back to our usual pricing when the market stabilizes.
