Elbows Up!

This coffee is not perfect.
It’s a blend of many things, of individual and unique beans, made perfect by what you bring to the table and add to it.

I have never been a fighter. Once, in grade 4 with a boy who later that summer came to my birthday party. But when challenged that day in the corridor? Elbows up, ready to defend.

Canadians have a history of Peacekeeping. Of diversity. Of multiculturalism and immigration. May is as Canadian a name as Singh or Carney or Poilievre.

We don’t wear our Canadian-ness on our sleeves and if you ask who we are you might get 40 million distinct replies…But one thread weaves through: We Are Canadian. And if you come at us, rest assured that we will be elbows up, ready to defend.

Is this nation perfect? No. But like a cup of coffee, come to the table and make it better.
